| So the other day my dad was showing me Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 It was made in 1998, so its pretty outdated. That's right, 1998. It is pretty cool, but its my first time using real programming. I thought it would be pretty easy since I've been doing lots of coding with phpBB and using html and BBCode. Boy was I wrong. The coding is insane! Especially because it's 10 years old and stuff. It's like a completely different language. So does anyone know any basic codes to start off with for Visual Basic? I'm looking for something like "view caption 1" or "Dim As integer, boolean, variant, etc.)>." or any other basic codes. Here's a screenshot of it too.

| Just use C# Language. Makes programs easily, and use the 2008 edition for free. The Express edition is free for us nonprofessonal users. http://www.microsoft.com/express/vcsharp/ |

Thanks, I was feeling rather proffesional today, and now it's gone. Anyhow, old coding is very different from the norm of today, so his idea is probably the best. Also, didn't the drink C+ go out of buisness because it caused cancer or somthing? |

| | Just because it's old doesn't make it obsolete, to other programming languages. Many people that are knew to the hole programming scene start out using vb6, because of it's GUI and it's simplicity to use. |
